Project 4

The fourth project was photo correction...there's not really much to go into on this one. Ran out of photo's I hadn't used so I borrowed one of my brother and his fiance. Thus this peace was born. I think it came out pretty well compared to how it used to look.

Project 3

I have no clue what project 3 was. Be that as it may though, obviously I did it and came out with this. These are actually 3 of my grandmother's own paintings, all I did was add the city on the left and the nice mountain on the right. I think it came out nice, though I think that was more due to how nice her artwork is compared to any work I put in. (seriously she's brilliant)

Project 2

I believe but don't remember what project 2's project was. I believe it was combining photo's...not positive. I took the picture of my dog that I love and placed some really cool new york pictures of mine behind her. These were the only pictures I had with me the beginning of the first semester...I really like the way it came out. (haha they say dog's can't see color...but she seems to be dreaming a lot of it)

Project 1

Project 1 was to make a picture on photoshop. Like the pictures before I didn't really have an idea of what I was making. I just started drawing and liked to watch where it brought me.
From top to bottom it goes 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and an hours worth of work. The first one was just stamps. The second one was just a doodle with the brush. The final one was a drawing of a body and then multiple different versions of the body on top of it...I don't like the way the last one came out...the clown face is kinda creepy after all.

3 Line Pictures

The project was to take three pictures of lines. I just walked about campus taking pictures of what I thought was interesting, and then picked from the list. Here they are...

Final

When I heard that we had to do a 30 second video I had no idea what I wanted to film. Then when Prof. Sanders suggested watching commercials to see how they film them, I knew a commercial would fit perfectly. I didn't want my commercial to actually sell a product though, instead I wanted it to be something silly that others would watch and say "Ha as if I'd buy that!" Then it hit me...literally it fell off of my shelf and hit me in the shoulder...a shoe box. Thus my commercial Box Fo' Shoes was born.
I spent the next day writing up my story board, which I had actually confused with writing a script...
(sorry it isn't clearer)
...with that done all I needed was the equipment and some fools to act for me. The equipment took a few tries to get, and when it turned out that I didn't have any film for the camera, I ended up using only the IMM buildings tripod and my Coolpix still camera. As for finding an actor/actress, my friend Sam foolishly volunteered early. She was confused by some of the shot's I asked of her, but we had a good time filming it.

With the scenes filmed all we needed was 'the voice'. My friend Delysha's voice was perfect, and after a few practice runs we had her speak into the Coolpix, adding the narrator's pitch.

In editing I soon realized I had a problem or two. Though the sound quality wasn't bad there was no way I could make it better, as well the quality of video differed from the changing light source throughout the video's of Sam.

Still I think in the end it came out pretty well. I did some touch ups on color, and carefully only used the best sounding recordings, and thus Box Fo' Shoes was ready.
In the end I think the project came out pretty well. This was roughly the idea I had in mind when I pictured Box Fo' Shoes, and I really think Sam and Delysha helped portray the idea of an old commercial. I think the sound and video qualities could have been better, and maybe a nice light music in the background, but I had no way to legally place music onto this video. In the end all I can really say was that it was fun.
